Super Bowl Betting
We already know that the San Francisco 49ers and New England Patriots have advanced to the next round of the playoffs. Remaining teams are the Houston Texans at Baltimore Ravens, and New York Giants at the Green Bay Packers. The Baltimore Ravens are home favorites today and the Bodog Canada Sportsbook currently has the Ravens posted at -9 point betting line favorites. Although this game will be tough defensively for both sides, it is going to come down to which team’s offense can produce in the 4th quarter. Our NFL betting online picks for the Texans and Ravens matchup would be to take the Ravens at -9 points. With a team that has both Ray Lewis and Ed Reid going up against a rookie quarterback in T.J. Yates, how can you not believe that the Ravens are going to have a statement game. Next up we have the G-Men traveling to Green Bay, Wisconsin to play the cheese heads. This NFL playoff game between the Giants and Packers will be one heck of a game I am betting and maybe even closer than the 49ers and Saints game yesterday. The Packers are currently favored to win this game by -9 points. We like the Packers to win, but the New York Giants and Eli Manning to cover the +9 point spread. So assuming we are correct in the above NFL playoff predictions this is what the Super Bowl 46 from Lucas Oil Stadium will look like.
Next weekend the Baltimore Ravens will face the New England Patriots. The betting odds for this game should have the Patriots favored by -9 points. We believe that the New England Patriots will cover the point spread over the Ravens. Next we have the San Francisco 49ers going into Green Bay. Expect the 49ers to have trouble with the weather conditions in Green Bay and get blown out like a birthday cake. The point spread in the 49ers and Packers game should be hovering around -12 points. We expect the Packers to cover the betting odds against the 49ers regardless of what they are next week. After both the Patriots and Packers have won their respected conferences they will be set to do battle in Super Bowl 46. Update: We were wrong, the New York Giants surprised all of us with a victory over Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. This changes our NFL Super Bowl betting preview slightly. Now our Super Bowl 46 predictions will be a rematch of Super Bowl 42 in 2007 with the New England Patriots playing the New York Giants at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday, February 5th, 2012. This time around we do not expect another Eli Manning and Dave Tyree fluke to close the game. No, this time around we expect Tom Brayd and Patriots head coach Bill Belichick to easily beat the New York Giants in Super Bowl 46. Early estimations have the New England Patriots favored by -4 points which are betting odds we will take any day of the week! Of course, first the Giants have to go into San Francisco and beat the San Francisco 49ers next Sunday, January 22nd, 2012.
